1969 OG-507 U.S. Air Force Utility Shirt

$198.00

Original Vietnam War–era U.S. Air Force OG-507 utility shirt, dated 1969. The OG-507 replaced earlier OG-107s and was produced in a lighter 50/50 poly-cotton twill, designed for improved durability and quicker drying in hot, humid environments during the Vietnam War.

This example retains original Airman First Class (E-3) sleeve chevrons, period U.S. Air Force chest tape, and original name tape reading Johnson.

The back features a hand-painted “Boise Bee” graphic, an unofficial morale or squadron-style artwork inspired by WWII bomber nose art traditions. These hand-painted designs were privately commissioned and worn off-duty or on base, making surviving examples exceptionally scarce. Paint shows authentic age, light cracking, and wear consistent with period use.

A rare and highly collectible piece combining issued military apparel with personalized Vietnam-era artwork.
